Misuse of Biology in Film and Pop Culture
This course will examine how biology and themes in the biological sciences are portrayed in films and popular culture with a mind towards evaluating whether the science is appropriate or being misused. In the process of these analyses, we will explore such questions as: What is science and what is not? Also what is pseudo-science or bad science?
