Graduate Seminar I

Covers professional development for graduate students in all fields of biology. Topics include the following: time management, how to collect and record data, data management, communication with advisor and advisory committee, finding a research question, grant proposals and funding, scientific ethics, use of graphics, writing and reviewing scientific papers, and careers and interviews. Each student will write a short grant proposal, review a scientific paper, and make a short oral presentation
