Advanced Conservation Biology

This course provides an overview of the theory and practice of biological conservation. Topics include biodiversity, habitat loss, the effects of habitat changes on populations, and the design and establishment of reserves. Among other things, students will learn: 1) key terms and concepts related to biodiversity, 2) significant threats to biodiversity and efforts to mitigate them, 3) practical and socioeconomic elements of conservation biology
