It emphasizes fundamental knowledge areas and skills expected of an information systems professional. Topics include the evolution of computing equipment, a survey of types of information systems used in business, and a discussion of professional responsibilities. Students learn team building, project planning, team coordination, and project reporting techniques. Career opportunities, co-op placement, and CIS program requirements are discussed
