Writing Center Theory and Practice

Prepares incoming Teaching Assistants (TAs) to teach in the University Writing Center. Provides a solid theoretical background for examining pedagogical issues important to an effective writing center, including such concerns as approaches to consulting with students, the role of grammar instruction in the writing center, consulting strategies for ESL students, the importance of computers in the writing center, record-keeping and resource development
