Epidemiology

This course will focus on the theory and concepts of epidemiology and social determinants of health, and how they can be applied to the field of nursing. This course will apply and integrate the principles and tools of epidemiology to the decision-making in a health care environment. The student will identify the different study designs and how each of them can be applied to answer specific questions related to population-based health care. Emphasis will also be placed on the application of appropriate analytic methods for these different designs and questions
