Class topics will include: land use and travel behavior; the built environment and public health; transportation demand management; bicycle and pedestrian planning; design of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; retrofitting existing urban areas; safety issues for pedestrians and bicyclists; the transportation needs of special populations (elderly, children, disabled and immigrants); and innovative solutions
