The Earths Mineral Resources: Sustainability and the Environmental Impacts of Recovery

The origin, distribution, consumption rates and environmental impacts of mining and processing the Earths mineral resources. A significant portion of class lectures promote a deeper understanding of the current oil, gas and coal industries and their relationship to the worlds energy production and use. The long-term sustainability of these energy systems is also discussed.
