News Editing

Basic studies in selection, preparation and presentation of news, with primary emphasis on newspapers. Examination of the effects of competition in multimedia news markets. Emphasis on issues of ethics, fairness and accuracy in news coverage. Diversity and legal guidelines affecting news presentation are reviewed.
