METR 4240

Boundary-Layer Meteorology

Examines the flow of mass, energy, and moisture within the planetary boundary layer, including their exchange at the earths surface and theories of interaction. Includes principles of air pollution and its transport. Interaction of the atmosphere with underlying surfaces (i.e., soils, vegetation, oceans, glaciers) are also discussed. Three hours of combined lecture and lab per week.
