From Sarah to Tamar, from the Levites concubine to the mysterious wise woman of Abel, the women in the Hebrew Bible present a far more complicated picture than we expect. This course examines the women of the Hebrew Bible in their cultural context and how their stories have been interpreted, reinterpreted, adapted, and altered.
