Probability and Statistics II

An introduction to statistical inference. Topics include: point estimation (method of moments, method of maximum likelihood, unbiased estimators, efficiency, consistency); confidence intervals and hypothesis tests for unknown parameters, including proportions, means, variances, and differences between means; tests of significance; the power function; goodness-of-fit.
