Second Language Acquisition and Linguistics in K 12 Schools
An introduction to the English language as a system, with a particular focus on teaching English as a second language in K 12 public school settings. Topics include: first and second language acquisition processes; English phonology, morphology, and syntax; implications for teaching English language learners the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing; and implications for teaching in the content areas.
