Play Analysis

An introduction to the various methodologies of analyzing play scripts as preparation for performance. Students articulate their critical positions both orally and in writing while comparing and contrasting diverse dramatic texts, as well as recognizing distinctive theatrical genres. There is also a focus on developing writing skills appropriate to the art form.
