Commedia dellArte

Expands on the principles and techniques of what is widely known as the Physical Approach to Theatre, with a primary focus on the Commedia dellArte dramatic realm. From mask work to comedic improvisation, to slapstick/comic stage combat, to the creation of new comic work, students are immersed in the essence and power of this Renaissance period theatrical heritage. Students learn and apply a set of analytical and problem-solving skills, research and critical thinking, oral communication proficiencies, and practice and collaboration.
