ARC 6974

Masters Project Planning

The Masters Project ( ARC 6971 ) will call for the students independent selection, organization, programming and design of a complex project. This course aims at preparing students for these tasks by exploring potential topics for masters projects and theses, introducing the concepts of architectural facility programming, methods of gathering, organization, analysis and evaluation of information needed for the project, and by studying the process of writing proposals for the masters project that clearly communicate the problem or task, goals and objectives, the proposed approach and procedure, the expected outcome, as well as the work plan and schedule for such a project and the time and resources required. At the end of the course, students will have prepared an acceptable masters project proposal which will allow them to proceed with the masters project during the following term.
